Be Unapologetically YOU
If you’re here, there’s a good chance you’re the capable one.
The dependable one.
The person people call when things fall apart.
On paper, life might look fine. Maybe even impressive. But internally? Your brain runs constant analysis, your nervous system rarely powers down, and relaxing sometimes feels… suspicious.
That’s where therapy comes in.
I work with thoughtful, high-functioning adults navigating anxiety, trauma, and chronic stress. Together we look at the patterns driving overthinking, pressure, and emotional exhaustion so your nervous system can finally step out of constant problem-solving mode.
The goal isn’t to change who you are.
It’s to help you feel steadier, clearer, and more like yourself again.
You Might Be Here Because…
Your mind constantly analyzes conversations long after they end
You handle a lot of responsibility, but feel quietly overwhelmed
You’ve done plenty of self-reflection but the patterns keep repeating
Stress shows up physically through tension, migraines, or fatigue
People rely on you, so admitting you’re struggling feels uncomfortable
You’re tired of “coping skills” that only work temporarily
If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone.
Many high-functioning adults look capable on the outside while their nervous system is working overtime underneath.
Therapy helps you understand the deeper patterns driving that stress so your mind and body can finally step out of constant survival mode.
Hey, I’m Nicole
I’m a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist providing therapy in Pasadena and throughout California. For over ten years, I’ve worked with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, and life stress that quietly builds over time.
Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable adults who already understand their patterns. They’ve done the reflection. They know the “why.”
They’re just ready for those patterns to stop running the show.
My approach integrates trauma-informed therapy, nervous system awareness, and tools like EMDR when appropriate to help clients process experiences that still affect how their mind and body respond to stress.
Growing up in a multicultural family—American, Puerto Rican, and Guatemalan—also shaped my perspective on identity, culture, and personal growth.
Specialties
-

Anxious Overachievers and Overthinkers
You’re competent, reliable, and productive, but your brain refuses to power down. High-functioning anxiety often looks like success on the outside and mental exhaustion on the inside.
Therapy helps you understand the patterns behind overthinking so your mind can finally step out of constant analysis mode.
-

Trauma Processing and Trauma Therapy
Not all trauma looks dramatic. Sometimes it’s experiences you minimized but your nervous system never fully processed.
Through trauma therapy in Pasadena, I help clients process unresolved experiences so they stop surfacing as anxiety, hypervigilance, or emotional shutdown.
-

Chronic Pain and Stress-Related Symptoms
For some adults, chronic stress shows up physically through migraines, tension, autoimmune flare-ups, or unexplained pain.
Therapy can help address the nervous system patterns that amplify physical symptoms so your body can begin to shift out of survival mode.
-

Therapy for the Responsible One
You’re the reliable one. The fixer. The person who keeps things moving.
But always being the strong one can quietly turn into carrying responsibilities that were never meant to be yours.
-

Anxiety and Nervous System Regulation
Sometimes anxiety isn’t just about thoughts … it’s about a nervous system that’s been stuck in high alert for too long.
Therapy focuses on helping your system learn what calm actually feels like again.
-

Medical Stress and Caregiver Support
Supporting someone through medical treatment can bring enormous stress and emotional weight.
Therapy provides space to process the fear, exhaustion, and uncertainty that often come with caregiving.
My goal is to create a space where you can think clearly again.
Life doesn’t have to feel like constant emotional triage.
Therapy helps you understand your patterns, process experiences that still carry weight, and build a nervous system that feels more steady and resilient.
You don’t have to figure everything out alone.
Let’s Work Together.
If you’re ready to feel less stuck in your head and more grounded in your life, therapy can help. I offer therapy in Pasadena and throughout California, with both in-person and virtual sessions available.
You don’t have to carry everything alone.
